What is peak shaving?

Peak shaving or grid reinforcement. A term you may have heard many times. But what exactly is peak shaving? Peak shaving means absorbing peaks in your power demand in a smart, efficient way.

We tell you more about it in the video below. In this example of peak shaving, we use the grid connection. When peak power is too high for the grid connection it has to be supplied for a short time, the Battery Box supplies the extra energy requested to prevent overloading the grid connection.
