Battery Box powers the semi-trailer of Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland in Numansdorp
Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland, the organization responsible for cancer screening in the Netherlands, has set up a semi-trailer at the property of the Karwei (a hardware store) in Numansdorp, in the Dutch municipality Hoeksche Waard. To power this trailer Bredenoord set up a Battery Box 80 combined with a 35 kVA genset.
Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland
Everyone in the Netherlands has seen them before: the semi-trailers of Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland. Three types of cancer screening are offered in the Netherlands: screenings for breast cancer, cervical cancer and bowel cancer. These screenings are offered by the government and participation is free and voluntary. Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland is in charge of these screenings. Their semi-trailers are often set up at central, easily accessible places in towns and cities, but there isn’t always (sufficient) power access at these locations to properly perform the screenings in the semi-trailers.
Cleaner and quieter solution
The semi-trailer in Numansdorp was set up on the property of the Karwei. The municipality of Hoekse Waard chose a Battery Box combined with a genset. The genset will only run to charge the Battery Box when needed, which means it runs for only two hours per day, instead of all day and night. This does not only save fuel, but also reduces nuisance and noise pollution. A cleaner and quieter solution.
