Expansion of Bredenoord’s head office to include logistics centre

Apeldoorn, 26 August 2018 – At the beginning of September, the preparations begin for the construction of a new office and logistics centre for Bredenoord, supplier of mobile power solutions. The new premises are located just a stone’s throw from the current location and will be operational by the end of 2019. The new construction will enable the Apeldoorn-based, family company to work in a more efficient and sustainable manner.

Growth and efficiency
Over the past few years, Bredenoord has developed substantially on the international stage, in terms of supplying temporary and mobile energy facilities, and has opened more branches. In order to facilitate further expansion and offer an efficient service to our customers, we are significantly expanding our head office. The temporary use of an office unit is currently resolving the most pressing problems. An important focus of the new-build is the logistical process, which is vital for the further development of Bredenoord. There is a new, sustainable building and site where all processes can run according to the most up-to-date standards.

Sustainable premises
Innovation and energy policy is an important theme for the 80-year old company. The new premises offer more space for multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable energy solutions. Energy storage is a recent example of this. The existing building will then undergo a full upgrade, to ensure that the offices and workplaces fulfil the latest requirements in terms of working comfort and other things. General Director Jaap Fluit: “We want to be a company which, literally and metaphorically, offers the space to grow. The new premises and the renovated site will offer space to meet people, be inspired and work together. And a great place to work facilitates creativity, job satisfaction and, also important for us, energy. This helps our company stay healthy by developing and providing reliable and innovative power solutions for our customers.

Construction team
The design and engineering of the new-build has been outsourced to architect bureau Palazzo. A building team, which includes the construction company Nikkels, has developed a plan which will ultimately offer Bredenoord a hall of approximately 5000 m² and 1900 m² office space. The surface area will be expanded by 26,000 m². The overall service area will be 65,000 m².
