​European festivals choose the sun

Bredenoord’s Mobile Solar Plant on tour visiting festivals Leading and innovative festivals deliberately choose for sustainable energy, generated by using the Bredenoord Mobile Solar Plant. This summer the Mobile Solar Plant will go on a European tour for the first time visiting the large music festivals in Europe. The tour starts in Roskilde, Denmark and will be seen in action at Pohoda, Slovakia, Smukfest in Denmark and a well-known festival in Belgium. The summer tour will end at Pukkelpop in Belgium.

Festivals can save 95% on their fuel consumption and CO2-emission by using the Mobile Solar Plant. This is possible through the use of 150 m2 of solar panels. The Mobile Solar Plant thus offers a spectacular picture for festival visitors and an undeniable statement in favour of sustainable energy. The Mobile Solar Plant arrives at the location in its folded state and through the patented unfolding technique developed by Bredenoord it can be operational within one hour. The installation provides a maximum of 58kW. A reliable power supply is guaranteed through a smart combination of solar panels, a Smart Power bank and a generator. This combined technology has proved its worth in several Bredenoord projects, a.o. in Africa. By means of online monitoring it becomes immediately visible how much is saved at all festivals.

The presentation of the Mobile Solar Plant at Noorderslag in Groningen in January this year once again proved this trendsetter role.
