Collaboration of Bredenoord and Qinous supports development of large battery containers for Bredenoord Rental

In 2017 Bredenoord and Qinous have started their collaboration. Qinous is a young high-tech company from Berlin that focuses on the storage systems for the integration of solar and wind energy. Bredenoord, an 80-year-old international family business, focuses on the development, production, sales, rental and service level of temporary energy systems. The collaboration is aimed at developing large mobile storage solutions from the expertise of both companies that can be used safely and flexible on various market applications and fit in Bredenoord’s Rental fleet management concept. Bredenoord is active in marketing flexible storage products via Rental and sales since 2012.

In June 2018, the first two 600 kWh battery containers have been launched by Bredenoord named as the Big Battery Box and now these are used in the various market and applications. Both flexible temporary as fixed stationary applications are in focus.

Qinous and Bredenoord aim to make the next step in storage solutions with this collaboration and development. Bredenoord CEO Jaap Fluit: “This partnership is an important basis for our strategic storage solutions development within Bredenoord. Sharing the technical knowledge of our fleet management concept and creating, operating and servicing temporary power systems and the battery knowledge of Qinous has led to the first mobile storage solutions container of this size available in the market.”
