The future will increasingly consist of emission free projects. No more emission at construction sites, festivals or even at temporary grid reinforcement. Bredenoord looks beyond the currently available fuels or solar and wind energy, because focusing on energy storage alone no longer suffices. For reliable and local emission free energy generation without fossil fuels we need more. Examples include gensets running on sustainable fuel (such as hydrogen, methanol and biogas) and generating energy through the sun or wind.

Hydrogen, for example, shall contribute significantly to the transition to a world in which we use more clean, low emission energy. Bredenoord has been aware of this for over 13 years, since launching our first hydrogen genset in 2009, and continuously works on new, smart ways to use hydrogen in its mobile power solutions. We are primarily looking into these possibilities by doing small scale experiments with our customers. In theory a lot is possible, but the practical application is important here.
