Double-insulated fuel hoses and fuel filter insulation provide additional protection. This can cause the fuel filter and fuel supply to become blocked, potentially resulting in the generator set failing. The Bredenoord winter set has been developed for locations where the winter resistance of the available diesel may be insufficient. The winter set heats both the fuel in the generator set and the diesel in the connected tank. The engine coolant is also heated. Double-insulated fuel hoses minimise heat loss, whilst a shield protects the fuel filter from the direct effects of the cold. In this way, the winter set ensures the reliable operation of your temporary power supply during cold winter periods. ## Complete heating set Depending on the installation, the kit contains a 750- or 3,000-watt engine coolant heater or coil heater and a 1,500-watt tank immersion heater. The hose heater is available in lengths of 12 and 24 metres, with a power output of 192 and 384 watts respectively. Fuel hoses of 5 or 10 metres are available for different models. The winter set requires an external power supply. Depending on the installation, this may be a 5-pin 32 A connection or a 16 A Schuko socket.
