Apeldoorn, 18 January 2012 - A mobile light tower, but about 40% more efficient; that’s the Bredenoord PLM LED Light tower. This new, sustainable product has been developed by this Dutch company from Apeldoorn itself on the basis of its Clear Concept philosophy. The design and the use of LED lamps produce a sustainable light tower that is perfectly suitable, for example, for events, road and hydraulic engineering works, industrial- and construction sites.

The new light tower contains 4 x 150 Watt LED lamps. Under normal operating conditions, the PLM LED burns for approx 185 hours, while the PLM equipped with Halide lamps burns for 125 hours. This translates into approx 40% more light hours per litre of fuel. Furthermore, the LED light tower has a longer lifespan. That translates into less fuel costs for the user and less CO₂ emissions. The PLM LED’s light is different and is perceived as better by users. It provides higher contrast and a wider spread. The light is less fragmented.

Clear Concept
The PLM LED is an addition to the palette of products developed by Bredenoord on the basis of its Clear Concept philosophy. Bredenoord is continuously working on temporary power solutions that meet the strict requirements related to reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions (not only CO₂, but soot and particulate matter as well) and the sustainability of the product itself. For example, Bredenoord previously developed the Clear Air, a soot filter that removes 99.9% of soot emissions. In addition, Bredenoord offers gensets with cleaner synthetic diesel that generates lower emissions. Power Management for large projects furthermore yields significant fuel savings and consequently reduced emissions. Finally, Bredenoord also works with new technologies, such as fuel cells as part of the Purity line.
