Bredenoord wins European Rental Award
onsdag 02 juni 2010 Bredenoord Generators has been declared ‘European rental company of the yearApeldoorn, 31 May 2010 – Bredenoord Generators has been declared ‘European rental company of the year (category: under 10 depots)’. The European Rental Award is an initiative of the association for equipment rental, the European Rental Association to which 4700 rental companies have been affiliated. Bredenoord received the award for its excellent management and its innovative initiatives.
The jury for the awards, consisting of five leaders of international organisations and companies, called Bredenoord a “top quality and innovative company, very well run and very well respected”. The recent technological Bredenoord innovations were highly appreciated by the jury. Last year the company introduced the Purity, a generator running on fuel cells and hydrogen, with hardly any harmful emission. In addition, the company also developed a self cleaning soot filter, the Clear Air, that reduces the soot emission of diesel generators by 99,9%. The decisive element for the jury was the fact that Bredenoord, in spite of these innovative activities, did not neglect its core business, i.e. the rental of generators, but actually improved and expanded it.
Ready for the future
Peter Garritsen, the Bredenoord Manager Rental is proud of the award: “Rental of mobile power supplies, is our company’s core business. A real family-owned company, in which we all work hard for our customers. This, in combination with our passion for technology, has brought us to where we are today. For us, this award is a confirmation that we are on the right track, and a stimulation for us to continue doing so and creating mobile power supplies that are ready for a sustainable future. Making sure that our customers shall always have the guarantee of energy available!”
New developments
At the moment Bredenoord is elaborating on the application of hydrogen in generators using fuel cells. In a consortium the Apeldoorn-located company already introduced the Uniflex project. Recently Bredenoord also introduced the Clear Concept. This concept consists of the Clear Air self cleaning soot filter in combination with synthetic gas to liquid diesel oil (GTL diesel). GTL diesel oil is generally considered to be an important step forward in the preservation of fuel.
