Sustainable liberation festival in Zwolle thanks to unique solution from Bredenoord
perform using a power generator with a soot filter. This is a first for Dutch liberation festivals. As a result, supplier Bredenoord shows that events and sustainability go together perfectly. Prime Minister Balkenende is also being introduced to this smart solution. This afternoon in Zwolle, he gives the starting signal for all the Liberation Festivals in the Netherlands by lighting the liberation flame.
The soot filter on the 3-metre-high generator reduces soot emissions by over 96%! So with small adjustments, you can make large events considerably more sustainable. And this is just the beginning. Bredenoord will shortly introduce an innovative solution where soot filters do not have to be immediately replaced after use. Dozens of festivals and events in the Netherlands can benefit from this.
Festival running on hydrogen
With stricter standards for dust, rising diesel costs and greater demand for green energy, Bredenoord is ready for the future. Last year the company launched a hydrogen generator at the Energie Beurs. This machine is a smarter choice for energy and is also much quieter. The machine is already being used at a large festival this summer. Developments in biogas and heat reclamation are also far advanced. Managing Director Jaap Fluit: “In the future, the world is certainly going to be using other forms of energy. We want to be the first to offer reliable solutions for these.”
