Apeldoorn 11^th Oktober 2011, UEFA concluded that next year the Dutch company Bredenoord is going to be supplying the mobile and temporary energy to all eight venues for UEFA EURO 2012™, the European Football Championship in Poland and Ukraine.

From 8 June to 1 July 2012 Europe’s elite footballing nations will be battling it out at the European Football Championship. This is the first time that Bredenoord is supplying the energy for the world’s second largest football tournament. It has previously demonstrated its dependability and reliability as a partner in the field of temporary energy supplies for public events of this size at, for instance, the Giro d’Italia, the Track Cycling World Championships 2011 and the Athens & Turin Olympic Games.

Bredenoord is a family business that has been leading the way in energy supplies for extremely diverse markets such as industry, offshore, events and the construction sector for more than 70 years. Bredenoord frequently works with partners, as in the UEFA EURO 2012™ project, where it is working with four Dutch strategic partners. The eight host cities, including Warsaw, Kiev and Poznan, are a great distance apart and so the tournament represents a logistical challenge. Bredenoord and its four partners have already begun their preparations for UEFA EURO 2012™. The consortium, with Bredenoord at the helm, will go into action for the first time at the draw in Kiev on 2 December 2011.
